Professional Scrum Master™ I


Offered by Scrum.org™, the Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification validates your knowledge of the Scrum framework, the Scrum Master accountabilities and how to apply Scrum. The Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) program offered by Multimatics is designed to equip participants with a consistent terminology and approach to Scrum so that they know how to apply Scrum in Scrum Teams. The training material is prepared based on the latest edition of PSM I, accompanied by discussions and exercises to work on the questions.


By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

  1. Help Scrum Teams deliver value to their organization
  2. Understand the theory and principles behind Scrum and empiricism
  3. Understand how each part of the Scrum framework ties back to the principles and theory
  4. Understand uncertainty and complexity in product delivery
  5. Understand the meaning and importance of the Scrum values
  6. Learn what Done means and why it is crucial to transparency
  7. Know how to use the Product Backlog to plan with agility
  8. Understand the importance of self-managing teams, interpersonal skills needed, and the Scrum Master role
  9. Clarify the leadership role a Scrum Master plays on the team
  10. Learn the skills and traits and behavior shifts required to be a Scrum Master

The program is suitable for:

  • Practitioners that are interested in starting a career as a Scrum Master
  • Scrum Masters, Agile/Scrum Coaches, and consultants looking to improve their use of Scrum
  • Anyone involved in product delivery using Scrum

This program is 2 days of intensive training class.


The program does not have any specific requirements. Participants can learn the topics without prior knowledge of or experience in Scrum.


The program provided by Multimatics will be delivered through interactive presentation by professional instructor(s), group debriefs, individual and team exercises, behavior modelling and roleplays, one-to-one and group discussion, case studies, and projects.


Participants will take PSM I Exam which consists of 80 multiple choice, multiple answer, and true/false questions. They will be given 60 minutes to finish the exam. Participants who successfully passed the exam will be given an official Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org™.
