Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst (C|TIA)


Offered by EC-Council, Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst (C|TIA) is a training and credentialing program designed and developed in collaboration with cybersecurity and threat intelligence experts across the globe to help organizations identify and mitigate business risks by converting unknown internal and external threats into known threats. The C|TIA training program offered by Multimatics is designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to build an effective threat intelligence. The training material is prepared based on the latest edition of C|TIA, accompanied by discussions and exercises to work on the questions.

Multimatics is an Authorized Training Center for the Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst (CTIA) training and certification program accredited by the EC-Council.


By the end of the program, participants will be able to:

  • Key issues in the InfoSec domain
  • Importance of threat intelligence in risk management, SIEM, and incident response
  • Various cyber threats, threat actors, and their objectives for cyberattacks
  • Fundamentals of threat intelligence (including threat intelligence types, life cycle, strategy, capabilities, maturity model, frameworks, etc.)
  • Cyber kill chain methodology, Advanced Persistent Threat (APT), Indicators of Compromise (IoCs), and the pyramid of pain
  • Threat intelligence data collection and acquisition through Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), Human Intelligence (HUMINT), Cyber Counterintelligence (CCI), Indicators of Compromise (IoCs), and malware analysis
  • Bulk data collection and management (data processing, structuring, normalization, sampling, storing, and visualization)
  • Data analysis types and techniques including Statistical Data Analysis, Structured Analysis of Competing Hypotheses (SACH), etc.
  • Complete threat analysis process including threat modeling, fine-tuning, evaluation, runbook, and knowledge base creation
  • Different data analysis, threat modeling, and threat intelligence tools
  • Creating effective threat intelligence reports
  • Different threat intelligence sharing platforms, acts, and regulations for sharing strategic, tactical, operational, and technical intelligence
  • Types of data feeds, sources, and data collection methods

This program is a 3 days of intensive training class.


The program provided by Multimatics will be delivered through interactive presentation by professional instructor(s), group debriefs, individual and team exercises, behavior modelling and roleplays, one-to-one and group discussion, case studies, and projects.


To be eligible to take the C|TIA Exam, participants must either:

  • Attend official EC-Council C|TIA training through an accredited EC-Council Partner (Accredited Training Center, iWeek, iLearn), or;
  • Submit an application showing a minimum of 2 years working experience in information security

Participants will take C|TIA Exam which consists of 50 multiple choice questions. They will be given 2 hours to finish the exam. Participants who successfully passed the exam will be given an official Certified Threat Intelligence Analyst (C|TIA) certification from EC-Council.
