Leaders occupy an important role in the organization. Many of today's leaders face a world which portrayed by a complicated environment. Lack of strong leadership skills ultimately creates more problems. In turbulence time, organization’s leaders are required to create an unconventional swift and decisive action. Therefore, these are several skills that leader should have in turbulence times.
Setting Direction
Optimism is a crucial characteristic of successful visionary leaders. Optimism is largely seen as a positive hope that things will work out well. Confidence, anticipation, and reasonable optimism are key advantages in uncertain times that help people at responsible positions to be more resilient and more innovative.
Excellent Communication
Tough times often involve more frequent communication. Communicating openly during challenging times can eventually build teamwork and cooperation among employees. The skills to listen, invite questions and create effective two-way communication can generate trust and prevent problems during the times of change.
Global Outlook
Gaining a global outlook helps in finding ways in this unstable environment. It can be done by positioning ones’ skills and attitudes within international and multicultural contexts. It also helps in responding unforeseen events in ethical, confident, and informed ways. Leaders who are capable enough in making globalization work in their favor will have a significant competitive advantage.
