Integrating Cisco Unified Communications Applications (CAPPS) v1.0 is a five-day course that prepares the learner for integrating Cisco Unity Connection, Cisco Unity Express, Cisco Unified IM and Presence, and video into a Collaboration deployment. It describes voice messaging deployment scenarios, Cisco Unified Presence features, and troubleshooting mechanisms as well as Cisco Unified IM and Presence and Cisco Jabber integration options with Cisco Unified Communications Manager.


At the end of the program, the participants will be able to :

  1. Describe voice messaging deployment scenarios
  2. Understand Cisco Unified Presence features
  3. Understand and apply troubleshooting mechanisms
  4. Understand Cisco Unified IM and Presence and Cisco Jabber integration options with Cisco Unified Communications Manager

Network Engineers, Network Operations Center (NOC) Technical Support Personnel, Help Desk Technicians, Network professionals.


This program is 5 days of intensive training class.


The knowledge and skills that a learner must have before attending this Curriculum are as follows:

  1. Working knowledge of fundamental terms and concepts of computer networking, including LANs, WANs, switching and routing
  2. Ability to configure and operate Cisco routers and switches and to enable VLANs and DHCP
  3. Basics of digital interfaces, PSTN, and VoIP
  4. Fundamental knowledge of converged voice and data networks and Cisco Unified Communications Manager deployments

At the end of the program, the participants will be assessed with 75 minutes of Implementing Cisco Collaboration Applications (CAPPS) v1.0 Exam.


Implementing Cisco Collaboration Applications (CAPPS) v1.0 Completion Certification will be awarded upon successfully passing the exam from Cisco. This certification is a pathway towards getting CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) Collaboration Certification. CCNP Collaboration Certification is awarded after completion of Implementing Cisco IP Telephony and Video, Part 1 (CIPTV1) v1.0, Implementing Cisco IP Telephony and Video, Part 2 (CIPTV2) v1.0, Troubleshooting Cisco IP Telephony Video (CTCOLLAB) v1.0, and Implementing Cisco Collaboration Applications (CAPPS).
