M_o_R® is a member of the project and programmer Management Suite of AXELOS. AXELOS is a Global Best Practice in IT Service and Project Management based in UK. It is the product owner and accreditor of ITIL®, PRINCE2® and Management of Risk® certification programs. M_o_R® stands for “Management of Risk” and considers risk from different perspectives within an organization: Strategic, program, project and operation. The M_o_R® Foundation course provides participants with an introductive overview of the processes, principles and techniques used in the M_o_R® approach. All subjects are covered in sufficient detail to allow participants to practice the application of the guidance not only during the course, but also into their own organization.

The successful completion of the M_o_R® Foundation exam will be given a recognized Foundation qualification. The Foundation level measures whether a participant would be able to act as an informed member of a team or an organization using the M_o_R® method in a broad range of initiatives and disciplines, such as IT and Business continuity management, project/program risk management, operational service management, security and availability Management.


At the end of the program, the participants will be able to :

  1. Learn, understand, and use the most important concepts and terminology within the M_o_R® Guide
  2. Specifically participants should (for any organizational perspective):
    • Know the facts, terms, concepts, and relationships between the four elements of M_o_R® framework (principles, approach, processes, and embedding and reviewing)
    • Understand how the M_o_R® principles, approach, and processes are used
    • Be able to identify M_o_R® framework documents and understand their uses and differences
  3. Pass the foundation exam
  4. Lay a firm foundation knowledge to allow participants to move onto practitioner level

M_o_R® Foundation is suitable for any organization or individual seeing the need for guidance on a controlled approach to identification, assessment and control risk at strategic, program, project and operational perspectives. The Foundation qualification is aimed at Business Change Managers, Program and Project Managers, Risk Managers, Business and Program staff and managers, Project Support staff and managers, Operational staff and managers, Staff and Managers from other disciplines, particularly those responsible for establishing standards and/or integrating them with Portfolio, Project and Program Management methodologies.


This program is 3 days of intensive training class.


There is no pre-requisite for this program.


At the end of the program, the participants will be assessed with 60 minutes of M_o_R® Foundation Exam.


M_o_R® Foundation Certification will be awarded upon successfully passing the exam from APMG International (ITIL Accredited Examination Institute – UK)
