Advanced Certificate in Computer Software Engineering (ACCSE®)

This program provides knowledge and skills that will enable students to further appreciate Advanced software design and developments; understand essential IT security concepts; understand the implementation of object oriented technology; perform SQL programming and administration; understand fundamental of web design and development of web application.

Program Objectives

At the end of the program the students will be able to use the computer for development of networking technology. Specifically, they will be able to:

  1. Understand the fundamental of IT security concepts.
  2. Appreciate the importance of object oriented technology and its implementation.
  3. Perform understanding with SQL programming and administration.
  4. Understand fundamental of web design and implementation of web development.
  5. Apply their knowledge and skills for their personal development and professional work, founded on sound values and ethics.

This program is designed for students.

Duration

This program is a 63 hours equivalent to 2 semesters of intensive training class.

Assessment

Students’ competency in various aspects such as computer operation, use of software features, production of quality output, and presentation of individual or group work will be assessed using appropriate tools such as class discussion, report, observation of work, and project presentation.

A well-documented project and a written or online exam will be required for completion of the program and issuance of the Certificate.

Award

ACCSE certificate of achievement will be awarded upon completion of all requirements and have a minimum passing exam grade of 70%.
